Library of Lithuanian materials: the aspects of local resources, national identity and designer produced materials

The object of the design is a library of materials, the elements of which consist of local resources, materials reflecting national identity and materials created by designers from local raw materials. The use of local resources can not only stimulate the implementation of the ideas of sustainability but also help to remember the national heritage by re-adapting the materials used by our ancestors to create a living environment. Furthermore, the library of materials serves as a database – a tool for creating interiors that would reflect the idea of Lithuanianness through the prism of materiality.
