Hard particle household filter “Aidas”

Assoc. prof.: Dr. Jonas Žukas

A hard particle household filter is a device that cleans airborne particulates in living spaces. The concept of the design is an “artefact from the future”. The idea is revealed by using organic materials and parametric design principles. The filter consists of four air filtering technologies: a primary filter, which removes larger particles such as large dust or lint, HEPA H13 filter, which eliminates 99,95 % of particles with a diameter larger than 0,3 μm, an activated carbon filter, which absorbs odours and other various pollutants, and a TiO2 photocatalyst, which neutralizes volatile organic compounds, bacteria, and viruses.
