Concrete Dialogue is an interactive concrete installation exploring Brutalism through touch, sound and light. The project responds to the perception of Brutalist architecture as cold, heavy and emotionally distant, especially in Lithuania’s historical context. A tactile concrete slab invites visitors to touch and move across different surface zones. A contact microphone captures vibrations travelling through the material, transforming them into sound and activating light transmitted through embedded optical fibres. In this way, concrete becomes visible, tactile, audible and responsive, encouraging a new understanding of Brutalism through direct material experience.
